Every loss on my public track record has a date and a reason. Here they are, in the words I posted to our Discord on the day each one happened.
What FX Blue is, and why I use it
FX Blue is a free, independent service that plugs into a MetaTrader account and records every trade as it happens. The chart below is drawn from the account itself, not from a screenshot or a backtest. Nobody at Alive FX can edit it, delete a bad day, or pick a flattering start date. Growth, drawdown, profit factor and days of history are all worked out by FX Blue, not by me.
That is the point. Anyone can post a winning screenshot. A live third-party record shows the losing days too, and mine has a few. The honest thing is to tell you what they were.
What I did, and when
The robot runs the plan. The dips below are the days a human (me) stepped in. I posted each one to our Discord community the same day, because I’d rather you hear it from me than wonder what happened on the chart. Every card links to the original post, so you can read it live, with the replies. (You need to be a member of the Alive FX Discord to open them.)
Margin dropped to 200%, I closed 10 trades in loss
My margin level fell to 200%. I closed the charts, closed ten trades at a loss by hand, then set the charts up again. The account carried on from there.

Wrong hedge setting on two charts
Even I make mistakes. Contrary to popular belief I’m human. I had 2 charts set to hedge at 2nd candle below 8ema. I was sure I changed it to dd%. Closed the trades in a loss. Not a train smash but it hurts.

Traded with my emotions after a stressful week
Feeling like such a chop. Should be doing what I preach. I’ve had a tough week, very stressful events to deal with, and hence I traded with emotions fluttering in my head. So embarrassed. Lesson: don’t trade when you’re emotional.

Caught in a bull trap, opened a hedge against my own rules
So I made 2 mistakes yesterday. 1. Bull trap. 2. Opened a hedge against the rules based on the order block. Am I dissatisfied? No. I’m 100% hedged, and I’m hedged at a good level. Making errors and learning from them is part of trading. There is no 100% rule here that works. There is only probabilities.

The finger slip: 206 days of profit gone in one click
Well, I officially hate today. And it’s entirely my fault. I just wiped out 206 days of profit with one dumb finger slip. I thought I hit the “Close 1 Lot” button, but I accidentally closed out my entire 122 lot trade, costing me a devastating $39,000 in profit.
I’ve always said I believe in radical transparency, and this is me walking that talk, even when it burns like hell. What have I learned? No trading after 3pm. My brain is mush after 2pm, and today proved it. If this saves even one of you from making the same mistake, then maybe this costly lesson wasn’t in vain.
Two minutes later, so nobody blamed the robot: My mistake. User error.

All of it made back
Nice, since my finger mistake. Made it all back in spades.
Same account, same robot, same plan. The chart went back to doing what it did before I touched it.

What I told a client who took a big hit
I’ve been there myself. A few months ago a simple finger slip cost me a big chunk of profit. It rattled me more than I expected. What mattered most wasn’t the strategy or the setup, it was getting my head right before doing anything else. The money was recovered over time, but only after slowing down and resetting mentally. Stepping away from the PC for a few days is often the smartest move.

What this means when you read the chart
Every dip listed above was a manual action, by me, on a live account. None of them was the robot deciding to close in a loss. Take those days out and the chart is the robot’s own work. Leave them in and you get the honest version, which is the one I’d rather show you.
The rules I now keep for myself (this is what I do, you need to test what works for you):
No trading after 3pm. My brain is mush by then, and the July slip proved it.
No trading on an emotional day. If something stressful is going on, I leave the charts alone.
Check the hedge and equity-protection settings on every chart before walking away. Twice.
When a mistake happens, say so the same day. The community saw every one of these before this page existed.
Questions people ask about this record
What is FX Blue?
FX Blue is a free, independent trade-tracking service. It connects to a MetaTrader (MT4 or MT5) account and records every trade as it happens, then works out growth, drawdown, profit factor and days of history itself. The account owner cannot edit the record. Mine is public at fxblue.com/users/301183351-exe.
Did the forex robot cause the losses on the chart?
No. Every dip listed on this page was a manual action by me: closing trades by hand, a wrong hedge setting, trading on an emotional day, and one finger slip. The robot (our Rule 2 EA) runs the plan it is given. The losses came from a human stepping in.
What is a finger slip in trading?
A finger slip is closing or opening the wrong trade by hand. On 11 July 2025 I meant to press “Close 1 Lot” and closed my whole 122-lot trade instead, giving back 206 days of profit in one click. Lots are cent-account lots.
Was the money recovered?
Yes. On 1 November 2025 I posted that it had all been made back, on the same account with the same robot and the same plan. You can read that post live in Discord from the card above.
Why publish your losses?
Because a live third-party record shows the losing days whether I like it or not, and I would rather you hear the reason from me. Anyone can post a winning screenshot. I’d rather show the honest version and what I changed.
Where can I read the original posts?
Each card on this page links to the original post in the Alive FX Discord community, so you can read it live with the replies. You need to be a member of the Discord to open them.

PS. The most expensive click I ever made cost 206 days of profit and took about four months to earn back. If one line on this page stops you from doing the same, it has paid for itself.
