Many traders jump into a trade because price has been moving hard in one direction.

Many traders jump into a trade because price has been moving hard in one direction. They often miss the small signs that the move may be losing strength.

Look at the thick part of each candle, which shows where price opened and closed. If two candles in a row have smaller bodies, buyers or sellers may be tiring. Treat that as a reason to watch closely, not as a sign price will turn.

Pros: It helps you slow down and avoid rushing into a trade. It also gives you a simple check to run on every chart.

Cons: Shrinking bodies do not predict what price will do next. Sometimes the move simply carries on, so you still need patience.

I use the Learn to Read a Forex Chart course to see what candle bodies show.
