A news story says Russia's war economy has real problems but is not about to crash.

A news story says Russia's war economy has real problems but is not about to crash. Traders often hear bad economic news and expect an immediate move.

A weak economy tends to change things slowly, so treat the news as background. Then check which sessions are open, since busy hours often bring bigger moves. Plan your trades around those hours, especially if you have a day job.

Pros: You stop reacting to every scary headline and plan around times you can actually trade.

Cons: This does not predict price, and a real shock can still move markets fast. It also takes patience, because you may skip some trades.

I use the Forex Time Zone Calculator to see when the main sessions overlap for oil.
